Class Description:
This 8-hour course covers the hazards related to working around asbestos-containing transite pipe. Topics covered include transite pipe use and identification; health effects of asbestos; EPA and OSHA regulations related to medical monitoring and surveillance; worker rights and protections; PPE; EPA classifications of asbestos work; and site safety. This course does not cover procedures related to the abatement of asbestos-containing material (See Asbestos Worker course description).
